Jan Carel Diehl

Jan Carel Diehl M.Sc. (1969) after finishing his study in Industrial Design Engineering he worked several years as consultant in Ecodesign. In his present position he is assistant professor for the Design for Sustainability (DfS) program at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.


Mugendi M'Rithaa teaches at the Department of Industrial Design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Cape Town.
He has previously lectured in Kenya and Botswana.

He was educated in Kenya, thUSA, India, and South Africa.

He is professor of Environmental requirement of the industrial product (Life Cycle Design) at the Faculty of Design of the Politecnico di Milano University and member of the faculty of the Master in Strategic Design.

He studied Industrial Design and Engineering and worked several years as a consultant in Ecodesign. Currently he is assistant professor of Design for Sustainability (DFS) in the Faculty of Industrial Design at the University of Technology Delft, the Netherlands.

Graduated in Design from the School of Industrial Design (1980) of the State University of Rio de Janeiro - ESDI / UERJ and Ph.D. in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2000).

ccc Lia Krucken

Has Ph.D. in Production Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC, with doctoral internship in the Department of Industrial Design of Politecnico di Milano - POLIMI, Italy, and PhD at the School of Design of the State University of Minas Gerais - UEMG, institution in which she is teacher and member of the Committee of Master in Design, Innovation and Sustainability.

Graduated in Industrial Design from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1979), graduate in Visual Communications from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1979), Masters in Graphic Design at Central School of Art & Design, London (1983) Doctorate in Education from Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1993), Postdoctoral Fellow in Electronic Art at the University of California Berkeley (2002).

Holds a BA degree in Fine Arts from the University of São Paulo (1982) and master-professional in Graphic Design from Schule für Gestaltung Basel (1998). Has experience in Design. Teaches in extension and graduate courses in the area.
